Epic funds raised

Close to 1,200 people made a sea of purple for this year’s Epic Walk for DV on Sunday, March 24.

Participants walked a 5km loop from New Farm Park, including Attorney-General Yvette D’Ath, Grace Grace, Di Farmer, David Crisafulli, Amanda Camm, Penny Wolff, Julia Dixon and Vicki Howard.

Brendan Smith, who organised the event with his partner Brendan Mann, said they raised $187,000 for Women’s Legal Service Queensland, which will help bolster its financial abuse prevention unit.

Plans are now underway for another walk in 2025.
