New Farm Park is one of Brisbane’s oldest, grandest and largest parks, and attracts more than 18,000 visitors each week from all around the world. Located on the Brisbane River, New Farm Park is a popular choice for both parents ,kids – and the young at heart.

The personal safety of Brisbane residents and visitors is our top priority. Due to coronavirus, some of our events, facilities, services and venues may have been impacted. Check our Coronavirus: Council updates and impacts page for latest updates.

From 30 March, Council’s outdoor gyms, skate parks, playgrounds, exercise equipment, basketball facilities, BMX tracks and barbecues will be temporarily closed until further notice. Find out more.

For event information, search our What’s On calendar to see if your event has been impacted. Protect yourself and others by social distancing.

On the tail end of Brunswick St, by the river, New Farm Park will entrance with its jacaranda trees, rose gardens and picnic areas. It’s a great spot to enjoy a lazy afternoon, with both gas barbecues and free wi-fi (near the rotunda at the Brisbane River end of the park). Younger kids will especially love the playground – including an extensive network of platforms set up and around the majestic Moreton Bay fig trees.  Jan Powers Farmers Market (weekends)  and the Moonlight Cinema (seasonal) also feature.
