The Compassionate Friends Queensland is a self-help support group for bereaved parents, grandparents, and siblings.
They held their 12th annual Walk to Remember on June 15 in New Farm Park.
After opening formalities commencing at 10am, the group walked around New Farm Park past the Powerhouse to the river landing for their Flower Ceremony.
A bagpiper from Brisbane Boys College Toowong led the walk.
It is a peaceful and moving way for families and friends to remember and celebrate their children’s lives. This is an opportunity to reflect and connect with other bereaved parents, siblings, and grandparents.
Councillors Vicki Howard and Fiona Cunningham supported the service once again. TCFQ is forever grateful for their continued support.
