Newstead waterfront dog park upgrade
The dog park at Waterfront Park in Newstead will close for just over a month so it can be upgraded.
From November 10, Brisbane City Council will be adding new turf, replacing soil, leveling the ground to help with drainage, and running a fertilisation and watering program.
Hamilton Ward Councillor Julia Dixon (pictured) said the “paw-some” upgrades will create a better space for dogs to run and play.
“I really appreciate everyone’s patience and encourage residents to visit nearby dog parks at Ivory Street, Fortitude Valley; New Farm Park; or Crosby Road, Albion instead,” Cr Dixon said.
Works will be conducted Monday-Friday between 7am – 4pm and are expected to be completed mid-December, weather permitting.
