New Farm Rotary honours passionate workers

A committed disability worker who is making a difference in the New Farm community has been celebrated for her dedication.

Zorica Stankov from Staffing Options was one of four winners of Rotary Club of New Farm’s annual Pride of Workmanship Awards, recognising individuals who show outstanding commitment and pride in their work.

Ms Stankov was nominated by Debbie Goninon, who has known and worked alongside her for more than twenty years.

Ms Stankov has worked in disability support for about two decades and has been with Staffing Options for eleven years.

She is known for her reliability, compassion and commitment to every client she supports.

She said she was deeply honoured to receive the award.

“It was lovely to be recognised for my passion for working in disability,” Ms Stankov said.

“This is why I’m still in this career, and I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.”

The awards give employers the opportunity to nominate staff members they believe go above and beyond in their roles, and Via Vai’s Vanessa Jones, Wombat Real Estate’s Paige Johnson, and SureInsure Insurance’s Ansh Puri were also recognised for their hard work.

The Rotary Club of New Farm hosted the annual awards night on October 22 at Stratton Bar & Kitchen.
