KittyCat services to change in January

Brisbane City Council has announced three new cross-river KittyCat services to commence January 28, after community feedback called for more frequent trips.
The new services will run between Maritime Museum and QUT Gardens Point, Holman Street and Riverside, and Dockside and Sydney Street.
Residents can now expect services every 15 minutes, a reduction on previous wait times.
Brisbane City Council Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner said the changes would make it easier for people to leave the car at home.
“Whether it’s on the road or on the river, we are committed to delivering the services needed to keep Brisbane moving,” he said.
The Kangaroo Point Transport Action Group has previously argued that usage numbers in the suburb warrant the construction of a CityCat stop.
They say a Kangaroo Point CityCat stop would decrease time spent waiting for connections.
Cr Schrinner said the changes would complement the newly opened Kangaroo Point Bridge.
