Dawn skyline a hit for climbers

The Story Bridge Adventure Climb (SBAC) opened its doors in 2005, giving locals and tourists the opportunity to climb one of Brisbane’s iconic landmarks, but it has a lot more to offer than one might think.
Located at Howard Smith Wharves, the climb is expanding its horizons to much more than just a climb up the bridge.
Whether you are looking to learn about the bridge’s structural integrity or an early riser wanting to catch a Brisbane sunrise from above the skyline, SBAC can make that happen.
Andrew McManaman, an SBAC climb leader, said the dawn climb is one of his favourites.
“I just did my first dawn climb a week or so ago, and it is definitely up there for me,” he said.

Grace Marshall, another climb leader, said the climb offers something for everyone, and that their recent accessibility climb has been a major milestone for both the team and the city.

“We offer a bit of everything for everyone. Our first accessibility climb was huge, and we’re prioritising making the climb much more accessible to a lot more people,” she said.
