Broncos ring in chicken joint

The Brisbane Broncos celebrated the soft opening of Chargrill Charlie’s in New Farm with a team lunch at the venue on Friday, June 27th.
Broncos forward Jack Gosiewski franchised the chicken chain’s first Brisbane restaurant, and his partner Avalon McRae praised the staff and supporters in a speech during the celebration.
“It’s been 10 months in the making,” Gosiewski wrote on Instagram.
Queensland star Patrick Carrigan told the Village Voice he expects the site to be popular in the area.
“It’s great for the area, I know it’s a big hit in Sydney,” he said.
“I know the people in Brisbane have been holding out for some chargrilled chicken.”
The restaurant’s official opening is set for Saturday, July 19.
