Double Shot Panini Café: A New Chapter for a New Farm Favourite
On the corner where a humble convenience store once stood in the 1950s, Double Shot Panini Café has evolved into one of New Farm’s most loved local spots. Today, owners Anthony and Marie are pouring their energy into restoring the café’s reputation and building something truly community minded.
Originally established as Double Shot in 2012, the café has passed through several hands, and Anthony and Marie are determined to bring it back to its best. After relocating from Melbourne, they have found a sense of home in New Farm and are passionate about creating that same feeling for their customers. Warm service, familiar faces and genuine connection sit at the heart of everything they do.

The menu focuses on simplicity, quality and generous portions. Their paninis take inspiration from Italian travels, classic Mediterranean flavours and family heritage. Local favourites include the cotoletta panini with a parm and herb coated chicken schnitzel, house-made pesto. Marie also brings her Cypriot Greek background to the counter with handmade sweets such as spanakopita and galaktoboureko (Greek custard slice).

With consistently great coffee, a relaxed atmosphere and owners who treat customers like family, Double Shot Panini Café is once again becoming a neighbourhood staple and a place where locals feel at home the moment they walk in.
