Village News Paw-ty in the Park
Our neighbours over at Newstead Dog Park are throwing a party in August!
My Village News is sponsoring a free paw-ty in the park for International Dog Day on August 26 at Waterfront Park in Newstead.
The event is supporting Pets in the Park Brisbane, a charity based in Spring Hill that helps homeless or disadvantaged people to care for their pets by providing free healthcare programs.
There will be plenty of activities, products and competitions for your dog, from dog food tasting to a dog agility course.
Find market stalls selling pet products and pet education and management information as well.
For the humans, live music, food trucks and drinks will keep everyone entertained, and there will be a book signing by local author Lyndal Clark for her book Muffin: The Gumtree Girl Who Rescued Me.
The event is sponsored by the Brisbane City Council, and Hamilton Ward, Councillor Vicki Howard, Grace Grace MP and Stephen Bates MP are also supporting the event.
Village News Paw-ty in the Park will run from 3pm – 7pm and is proudly organised by Enriching Communities.
This event is free but you can register for a ticket at https://paw-tyinthepark.eventbrite.com.au.
